Not a Man United fan nor a Rooney fan, but I have to say thats one of football's greatest goals. To understand why you have to look at the camera angle at 0:39. How he manages to get so much curl and dip at the same time when shooting on the outside of his foot is beyond me. It goes up, twists, curves and dips back down.

Well brentford1999, if I get called a Connoisseur (which is how you actually spell it) just for saying how it manages to get curl and dip at the same time, then there are a lot of Connoisseurs of football out there, and theres clearly a lot patronising pricks out there too who say words they don't know the meaning of and can't even spell, Your Mum must be so proud.

this shot is unstopable, look at the speed of it and the spot where Rooney hit it. I would even say that it would still be a goal, even if world class goalie like Kahn or Casillas was in the goal.
